Procedure :

First, a blog is created on which teachers and students from the collaborating schools present themselves. This blog will be used for the exchange of information and communication between collaborating schools, teachers and students. Secondly, teachers from the collaborating schools decide on the scientists/inventors and their achievements/inventions to be examined. Then, teachers decide on the number of scientists/inventors and inventions to be studied. Thereafter, teachers and students get together and talk about the project and decide on the collection of information and further course of action. It is suggested that a visit or visits to the local libraries and  museums are organised in order for teachers and students to become acquainted with the different scientists/inventors and their achievements/inventions of their countries, towns or regions. It is also suggested that the internet is used extensively for the collection of all the relevant and necessary information. The students working in groups or pairs, depending on how best the purposes of the project are served by each collaborating school, create MSword documents or PowerPoint presentations of their work and upload same on the project’s blog. It is also suggested that teachers and students visit the project’s blog regularly in order to read and comment on their colleagues’ postings. Finally, it is suggested that a chart is created containing information on the scientists/inventors, their achievements/inventions and how these have affected their lives from the different countries, towns or regions.
